1980 Mercedes-Benz 300SD Turbodiesel
I've never been a Benz guy, but holy crap this car interests me.
Black on black, with an automatic.
230,403 miles. Which is nothing for these old Benzes, right?
Seller wants $3,250.

Pure class. Has about another 200k miles before engine-out service due. :)

Another 200k? That's another 30+ years of driving I could get out of it. Awesome.

Wouldn't surprise me. I know someone with 330k on theirs, and they frankly are not the best with maintenance. This one looks cared for.

This chassis doesn't normally work for me, but that car looks great. I would buy it, especially if I had to drive a bit on an open road more often. Great cruiser. May need basic service work in the next 100k, g-plugs, filters, fluids.

They are interesting, driving one is more nautical than automotive. The suspension travel is so long than they drive like a boat. The power delivery is so limited, they accelerate like a boat. Its a lotta machine, just like a diesel boat.

Minus the diesel part, you described what I already drive, so no change there!

Not sure what the CL market is like where you live, but if its in good shape that's a good price. My brother had two that were in good shape in and out that he got for about $3k. Very fun cars to just cruise in. Examples in not so good shape but running can be found every other week here for around $1k-1.5.
